I spent some retreat time at this beautiful location in Golden Bay, New Zealand. The whole bay has a magical spiritual quality to it and an all pervading peace and serenity with the tides flowing in and out, worn rocks shaped over eons and intriguing tidal pools.

The fish catch was brought in to the wharf market early in the morning and nets mended during the rest of the morning before the heat of midday. Such a traditional, meaningful way of life...there was a simplicity to it.
